Gone Fishin' Valance

This filet crochet valance features a life-size rainbow trout rising out of the water to catch a perfectly-placed fly. The valance is worked in back-and-forth rows from the left side to the right side. The rod pocket is built into the design with a checkerboard border across the top. The valance is shown on a 36" wide window.

Materials:

The model was created using dark green crochet thread, size 10, and a size 8 (1.50 mm) steel crochet hook.

Finished Sizes:

51" wide x 18-1/4" to 22" long (from top of rod pocket). A pattern repeat of 10-1/4" allows adjustment in width to fit your window.
